Concerns from parent/carers about the proposed changes to specialist nurseries have been shared with the Local Authority. Many families have expressed their views, and we continue to support those who want to make their voices heard. While a petition is currently circulating, it is crucial that parent/carers also complete the official consultation. The Local Authority will rely on consultation responses to make their final decision.

Why Your Voice Matters

Signing the petition shows support, but completing the official consultation carries more weight in the decision-making process. The Local Authority uses consultation feedback to understand the community’s needs and concerns. Without your input through this channel, your views may not be fully considered.

You can take part in the consultation here:

By both signing the petition and completing the consultation, you help ensure your voice is heard clearly and effectively.

Connecting with Families in the Community

Our team has been actively meeting parent/carers at several local schools. PINS visits have provided opportunities to listen, offer advice, and answer various questions.

Recent visits include:

  • The Pastures Primary

  • Hathern C of E Primary

  • Brockington College

  • Loughborough College

  • Brooksby College

Meeting families face-to-face has helped us understand their concerns better and provide tailored guidance. We encourage parent/carers to reach out if they need support or more information.

Upcoming PINS Sessions

Next week, we will hold PINS sessions at two schools:

  • Stonebow Primary

  • St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Market Harborough

If you are a parent or carer at either school, please check your email or communications from the school for your invitation.
