In June, we held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) where we welcomed Michelle White, Head of Service for SEND & Children with Disabilities, and Tim Browne, the new Assistant Director for Education, Inclusion, and Additional Needs. This event was a great chance for parents and carers to connect with leaders in the education sector and hear directly about key issues affecting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
During the meeting, Michelle and Tim shared valuable insights regarding their roles and the ongoing initiatives aimed at improving services for children with SEND. They also addressed questions from attendees, encouraging open dialogue about the challenges and opportunities in our education system.
While time constraints limited the number of questions addressed at the AGM, we have compiled the remaining questions and responses from Michelle and Tim to ensure all voices are heard.
Moving Forward Together
The AGM was an important opportunity for productive discussions between parents and key education leaders. The insights shared by Michelle White and Tim Browne highlight a strong commitment to improving services for children with SEND.
As we progress, it is essential for parents and carers to remain engaged and informed. Your voices are vital, and together, we can work towards a more inclusive educational environment for all children.
We invite you to reach out with any further questions or concerns. Your feedback is key to shaping the future of SEND services in our community.
